The Sandbox believes that each child possesses great dignity and deserves to be treated with respect, and that, in the proper developmentally appropriate environment, children will gain a love of learning and learning to love... self, friends, and the world around us.

About Sandbox Schools

Over 50 years ago, in 1968, Sandbox Schools first opened our doors. At this time, there weren't many preschools around. Our founding mothers believed that a love of learning is developed at an early age, and they wanted their children to attend a preschool that shared this belief. With this goal in mind, they opened our first preschool with 17 children, including their own kids and children from the surrounding neighborhoods. The following year, attendance soared to over 40 kids. Throughout the years that followed, we went from one location to having preschools in seven different spots! We're known for treating our students and our staff right. Our low staff turnover is a tribute to the welcoming and supportive environment we create.

Today, we are proud to remain a family-owned-and-operated business. We are currently welcoming the next generation of students, many of whom are the kids of our former students! Many of our program graduates even come back to work as staff members! We truly create a family that lasts for a lifetime.
